The sun's out

I had almost forgotten what the sun looked like. It's above freezing during the day and I'm getting antsy to plant something. I have hosta and ligularia that need to be moved.

It's been pretty busy in the back yard. I have to refill the luncheonette.

I know what you mean. I just spent three days outside, digging in the dirt. Planted 6 new roses and double weeping willow cherry tree. I have been working in between rain storms (good for the plants, especially in drought-ridden CA), and absolutely loving the sun. It has nearly done in my arthritis, but who cares? Wish you were here to give me a hand. See you during Spring Break?

Beautiful pics, Jim! I agree re. the sun. After all, I live in the SUNSHINE STATE where the sun and warmth have been few and far between this winter. I'm sure spring is right around the corner, right?!?!

Isn't it lovely when the sun finally shows itself? We've seen glimpses of it now for the last two days...but alas...more rain tomorrow. Love the lighting in your photos with the snow.

Looks like you will have to wait a bit longer to move plants Jim! From the looks of the snow covering your garden... well you will not have to wait as long as I will! Here is hoping you have many warm sunny days over this coming week! ;>)

It's been sunny here today for the first time in ages. That said, it's still freezing, but for a while I worked up enough of a sweat to pretend it was spring. I even treated myself to a cold beer afterwards!

Hi. I really know how you feel we are getting antsy to get out and dig.I was a little let down by the garden show this year but I guess the Ohio economy has hit everyone. Had you seen a smaller show in the Cleveland and Akron ones?

Snow right up until march may promise something extra good in spring.. Just a guess, considering weather do practice fair play.. ~bangchik
