Sorry for the Inconvenience

Some jamoke left a junk (I'm being nice) comment on one of my latest posts. To combat these nefarious nasty jamokes, I needed to add that hard to decipher word that you guys now have to type into that box thing. Sorry everyone. The blog police from Google need to hunt this guy down and have a talk with him. Google is omnipresent and omnipotent aren't they?

I had that happen to me recently as well. Being the blog newbie that I am, at first I didn't realize what it was. What we need is a Batman of the blog world to wipe out this bad behavior. I nominate George Clooney.

Dear Jim, How unfortunate and I am so sorry. Thank you so much for becoming a 'Follower' of my blog; I am returning the compliment. You may be intrigued with the quotation which I have painted on to the wall of one of my garden pavilions:Hic Ver Assiduum Atque Aliensis Mensibus Aestas [Virgil].

It is amazing the time some idiots spend to spread their crap. They need to get a real job.
We have all had to do this Jim to help protect us from morons even though we do not like to. It would be nice to make it more convenient for our bloggers but their are always those who think they are cute and try to spoil it.
So do not apologize for protecting your space.

Unfortunately we have to watch out for creepazoids, and block them when we can. It's a real shame that they don't have anything better to do with their lives.

We all know why we have to do these things. We are forced to inconvenience ourselves and others because the 'anonymouses' spread their filth and garbage. Blogger needs to delete the anonymous option.

How sad. Sometimes I laugh at my efforts to decipher those warped words, but I don't mind too much.

Jim, you have made my day just by saying "jamoke". I haven't heard anybody say this in ages -- I'm a Boston native, but living in Scotland, and there's a whole new set of vocabulary around here. You've totally made my day!

don't worry bout the word verification thing -- plenty of people are used to it, and I don't think it's going to put anybody off participating in your blog.

Jim, not an inconvenience at all. These days such steps are necessary just to stay ahead of all the automatic randomly-generated blog spam. Most of it isn't generated by people per-se, but by computer spam-bots. The captcha step when posting comments should help, and it's worth it just to maintain the integrity of the blogs we work so hard on.
