It's zoo poop

I've mentioned sweet peet numerous times in my blog. It's the only fertilizer Pat and I use in the yard. I don't work for the guys that brought the world this stuff. But if they want to dump a couple yards or so in the driveway, it would be OK. Evidently only us lucky Buckeyes (wow, this is the first time I've called myself that) can get sweet peet. The Sweet peet company has a nice website at: http://sweetpeet.net/ so all you guys who can't get this stuff can at least view the web site and dream.
I took this pic at the Cleveland Garden Show. It's as close as I'm going to get to it until Pat and I get our 10 yards during spring break.

This is very cool. And yes, I'm jealous. No zoos near me, unless you count my horse and our geriatric donkey. Oh, and the cats, but I don't wanna use their poop on the garden.

Dear Jim, Gosh! Your posts never cease to amaze me. You have certainly picked an unusual topic here. Of course, you are right, one does need to be enriching the soil at all times.

I remember the zoo in Edmonton doing that, offering up elephant manure to gardeners. When I was a kid, I thought people were insane to go nuts over the stuff LOL

I wondered what made all of those hosta's look so great. LO!

I am sure you must give a double helping to all your hostas! Great stuff if you can get it.

I just happened upon your lively blog, and wish I could grow hosta's like you do. I plant a few every year here in northern California, and the snails have a hey day with them. Maybe I just need some elephant dung.
Anyway, good job.

Hmmm...here's me waiting for my worms to produce enough fertiliser for the garden. Elephants would have been a lot more productive!
