The event was co-sponsored by the Olmsted Falls garden club. We started talking to a woman named Bev about hosta. She turned out to be a member and the next thing we know, Pat and I are members of a garden club. Who would've thought I would ever join a garden club. Oh, by the way, I was the only guy at the meeting. Kinda funny isn't it.

Rain barrels and the garden club
Pat and I signed up to make rain barrels. The county water conservation district sponsored the event and provided all the stuff we needed. It was in Olmsted Falls, which is just west of us. There were a bunch of people there and only tools for two barrels at a time. Luckly, Pat and I brought our own, which we shared with another couple we met.
