Big Blue in the snow

I hope everyone made it through the storm that went through the mid-east this weekend.
Well the storm has passed, the driveways and sidewalks are shoveled. I have fought the snow wars against the city trucks throwing snow back into the driveway. It's time to wander into the back yard for pictures. It's funny how a foot and a half of snow in the front yard turns into two feet or more in the back yard. Big blue and the rest of our hosta and ligularia are under a nice white blanket. The only animal tracks are from the squirrels. A silence envelops the yard.It is nice and peaceful.

Beautiful winter scenes. We miss them this year. No snow for us. The armchair looks royal.

Hi Jim! It's looking pretty snowy over there! We are anticipating 2 - 4" more tomorrow. It's okay... we've lost quite a bit of snow recently, so we MUST build up our supply! ha. at any rate, I wanted to mention that I'm giving you a "shout" in tomorrow's post. :-)
Hope you enjoyed a good weekend.

It's hot and dry where I am, so I'm enjoying the cooling effect of your beautiful photos Jim! The top one is just magical, I can almost feel how still it is.

Hi Jim,

Beautiful, snowy pictures. Do you know why there is more snow in the backyard then in the front?

Big blue has disappeared. Why is it there is always more snow in the back of the house? LOL! melted a little today and now my back steps are a danger zone. Get ready for round two you two. Ugh!

Hello Jim, happy the storm has passed. My son and grandson played in it all weekend on the east coast. So calming are your photos and the chair piled with snow is a lovely shot!
