2 months and counting

Two months from now, the back yard's going to have a bazillion people whose folding chairs are sinking towards China. No one needs to worry, we have a couple of plan B's in our pocket. One is leaving the keys in the front door with a note saying "have fun, love mom and dad". Another involves loads of green painted plywood.
Actually the back yard looks pretty good. there is no standing water and the weather forecast is for just a little snow. Everything except one bush seems to have survived the winter. The deer find the hosta just as tasty as last year. The early spring flowers are out and the trees are flowering. in a week or two the back yard might be dry enough to mow.
