The Project

But first, some flowers
The buttercups are starting to bloom. We pulled out a stand of ragweed last year and the buttercups filled the void. After blooming they die back to a burgundy color.

This delicate flower is from virginia sweet spire.

Nothing says project more than 7 tons of #57 river rock and 5 yards of sweet peat in your driveway. There is something weird about knowing just how much stuff you can get dropped on your driveway without it spilling onto the grass. The other weird thing that happens is neighbors coming over and asking why we are doing this or that.

The finished product is 14ft by 15ft. That's bigger than the kids first bedroom. We'll finish planting when the rain stops.
