Looks like something's afoot in your yard, could that be a new flower bed?

If that were in my garden, I'd be just itching to get out there and put plants in it! Love the shape. -Jean

Hmmmm, is this a new space to add to your wonderful hosta collection? I love the shape and the earth is so rich looking.

Enjoy planting.

Looks like you two have been busy. I would love that bed of rich soil.Is a new perennial bed in the works or are you going into the pumpkin business. LOL!

well Jim what are you going to plant here?

Jim is this where the pumpkins had been growing or a new bed lined with wonderful black gold.

This flower bed is brand new. It's opposite the pumpkin patch bed. Well hopefully it's opposite it. It's kind of hard to find the edge because of the pumpkins.
The bed was made by edging the lawn, spreading newspaper over the grass and covering it with 4 inches of sweet peat. Come spring the grass will be composted and we can plant flowers. Pat say we will plant flowers.

Hi Jim and Pat. Thanks for the pic on blotancal. I am new and just getting the hang of it. I loved the turkey in the previous post. Your kidney shaped bed teases of things to come. Your blog is enjoyable to read.
