Great photo, Jim! His plumage is so striking against the blue sky. I suppose those dark green-blue feathers are all brand new to assist him in his spring mating duties. ;)
cute! your pictures look really great. what kind of camera do you use? the pictures i take w/ my point-and-shoot digital camera don't turn out nearly as clear and sharp as yours.
Katie, I use a Fuji F50se which is 3X and 12mp. I also use a Sony DSC-H20 which is 10X and 10mp. The duck was shot with the sony. Most of the close ups are shot with the fuji. Both are point and shoot pocket cameras.
